Why is research essential in analysis of a study or question you may have? Make a scholarly response to a classmate for additional points. For this assignment, support your conclusion with intext citations and bibliography at the end of your work. For example, people, once again, saw something in the sky. The news media told us that scientists said it was a shooting star. Was it??? How would you possibly know???

Parsa: I agree with how you effectively used the quotation of the phrase of using field research. By restating the author of the book, you recreated a great explanation of the use of research to support the evidence of the claim. Well done, as if i do say so myself.

Parsa Nikpour, I think your prompt was very information. I actually got a better understanding of what to look for while providing proof. I think you utilized your quote well. I mentioned firsthand research in my response as well. I really like the fact that you provided the reason why someone needs to question a source,"conditions of rebuttal" was a great way to put it. Do you think most media sources follow this format well?

Emarree I agree with your post where you said,” You have to look at the context in which the source was quoted or integrated into the information you received”. I think today there is so much media influence that has a tendency to take a quote and doesn’t integrate the correct context into a story. So for someone who watches a story on the news or another show you have to keep in mind that the information may not be as accurate as you think.

Parsa, I agree and to add I also believe that it avoid personal felling and emotions towards the subject the he or she might be researching. This allows the research to be bias also allowing being I believe more accurate.

Research is essential in verifying the authenticity of a study or argument for plenty of reasons. Do you know every answer to every question on the top of your head? Certainly not! This is why research is so very important to us. Plus, people will not take us seriously if we do not have some way to back up our argument. For example, today I was watching a documentary called, “Forks over Knives” and it was trying to convince us that eating a plant-based diet can reverse and cure diseases and keep you healthy, which I firmly believe in. If they had not done the research and studies I would have not thought the documentary was accurate, and therefore not been convinced.

Georgina, I could not agree with you more. It seems like the majority of us need evidence to beleive something and do not beleive just anything we hear.

I chose Chris LeDoux, my favorite country singer, to do my paper on. He is truly an inspiration.
